The Volkswagen Atlas Cross Coupe will arrive in 2019

It is confirmed, the Volkswagen Altas Cross Coupe will arrive on the market next year as a 2020. The German manufacturer made the announcement last week. it also reiterated the potential of the Volkswagen Tanoak pickup and also hopes to offer it to us eventually. Nothing has been confirmed on that end, however.

As for the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Coupe, the prototype of the model was presented last April at the New York Auto Show. It is a sportier version with a more dynamic style than the current Atlas with three rows of seats. The latter is for families, the Atlas Cross Coupe will be for those who need space, but who want a SUV with more remarkable styling and a more engaging drive.

We do not have much details on the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Coupe apart from the fact that it will be powered by the 3.6-liter V6 engine from the current Atlas. The latter develops 276 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. It is not yet known if a hybrid engine like the one that fueled the concept presented in New York will be offered. An 8-speed manual transmission will be standard.
